- Walla Walla University student Chelsea Patten was recently recognized by Independent Colleges of Washington for a grant-writing project that she hopes will lead to more energy effeciency at the university
- The state’s DSHS has changed eligibility rules for the Basic Food program
- The CROP Hunger Walk on Sunday will begin with registration at 1 p.m at the Walla Walla Community College. The walk begins at 2 p.m. along a 5K or 10K route
- A boost in the minimum wage will raise the hourly rate to $8.55 on the first of the year
- Don Davis and Nora the Schnauzer explore Mill Creek and Rooks Park
